Yuletide Decoration Ideas

Decorating our house has been a necessity for home improvement enthusiast like me. It is like my greatest goal to create a unique interior design that would attract attention to guests whenever there is an occasion being celebrated at home. There are somewhat loads of decorating ideas in my mind that are not yet taken into consideration. But I see to it that it will be on my future articles when the ideas are successfully placed into action.

 

 

For now, I want to share some decorating ideas during Christmas. As we all know, we only have few weeks left to make some yuletide preparation. When we check online there are so many Christmas decoration ideas that really have a big impact to the masses. But on my end, I can only give some simple yet very practical ways of involving ourselves to the annual holiday celebration.

 

 

Take for example Christmas wreaths. Wreath is a ring like designed plant for decoration. This is a perfect interior decoration idea for our home during Christmas. We can pair this unique interior creation with red ribbons, poinsettias, mistletoes and candles. It would be also possible to make dried wreaths. We just have to find some weathered withered plants. It would also be perfect to choose what kind of plants we are going to use for our wreaths.

 

Another one is the candle holder. It is not as simple as the holiday wreaths but somehow it gives great interior accent to our dining tables, center tables and counters. We can have it painted with gold or silver to give a holiday feel. We can also pair it with ribbons and red candles for more accents.

 

 

Another unique holiday decoration is the illuminated planter. We can have different colors of luminous light for our planters. But for Christmas we can have green, red and yellow together to create a wonderful yuletide experience.

 

With the three holiday interior decoration ideas, we do have lesser expenses but the same holiday experience. Happy Christmas and a phosphorus New Year!

It is easy to make homemade custom posters. You do not need professional graphic artists to create something decent, or even beautiful. Any color poster printing tasks can be made at home with the right equipment. All you need is your trusty computer, a scanner, some drawing tools and your limitless imagination.

If you are reading this article, it means you are just a novice when using image editing software. That is fine. What we are trying to do is to use our own hands to create a “hard copy” of a poster and then we will enhance it digitally using simple techniques for poster printing. So the first step would be to sketch our poster.

If you are skilled, try and draw the shapes and figures that you want for the poster. If you want to have fun, why not let your kids help out as well? You will be surprised at how some drawings turn out. If you have a friend that is a little on the artsy side have her join in as well. You can have them draw separate parts of the poster if you like, or have them draw a whole poster unto themselves. Have fun, and maybe make a contest out of it. The important part here is that the shapes and lines are sharp. You do not have to color or shade it at this point though it is purely your discretion. Once you have a nice sketch, scan it into a computer.

Once you have it digitized you are ready to enhance it using an image editing software. A good technique is to color the now digitized poster using the “pain bucket” tool. It is a common enough feature in most graphics applications. Experiment with the different colors available and watch your poster come alive digitally. You would be surprised at how some drawings get enhanced as you color them with digital paint. If you have other people in your “team” try and combine your different drawings and see what you can come up with. Experiment and let your creative imagination flow. Afterwards, just put finishing touches like borders, lines and text which are simple enough to use. Great! You now have a unique homemade color poster printing.

Once you are done, simply print a hard copy from your trusty printer. If you want several copies, go to the local color photocopy machine and have it duplicated. You can even have it printed in glossy paper or even photo paper in some places. Of course you can also discuss poster prices at your local poster printing company if you have some money.

How to Make Hair Bows

Making hair bows with ribbons that are cut to the right size is pretty easy. Here is the stuff you will require to begin with:

Several rolls of ribbon. These can be of satin, cotton or any other material as long as they are a little study. Something like crepe is great to use for ribbons too.

Some small pieces of wire. Ensure that these are properly molded and do not have sharp ends or edges that can hurt the wearer of the hair bow spoiling all your effort. Floral pieces of wire are often used for hair bows and can be cut easily.

A ruler or tape measure and of course a good scissors.

Some gum, glue or any other sticking material.

You can get bead decorations if you wish to use them.

Method: Cut a piece of ribbon of about 3 inches length and cut another ribbon of a much smaller size to only about 4/8th of an inch.

Measure out about six inches more of the main ribbon.

Hold this piece and mark out spaces at one inch each. At every one-inch where you have placed a mark, twist it by a half and then further measure 3. 5 inches before folding the ribbon double back to make a loop. You can hold the loop in place with your finger while you repeat the process from the other side.

When both loops are done, you can make another pair of similar loops. These can be smaller than the previous ones. You will have to place the smaller loops over the bigger ones, hold it in place with your hands and then tie up the middle with the wire. You can cut off any extra pieces of the wire or the ribbon by the scissors. If you use ribbons of two different colors, it can give an added brightness to your bow. Now, simply attach this bow to a small comb or plain clip!
